We are seeking a HW and Embedded testing of IoT hardware platforms, to support design teams in testing of new hardware and firmware releases.
6 month temporary position with option for extension.
Your day to day will look like:
- HW/ FW Validation & Verification: Support hardware and embedded engineers in the functional testing of new firmware and hardware versions across microcontrollers and Linux-based System-on-Modules (SoMs).
- Test setups: Design, assemble, and configure comprehensive test setups for both unit-level and full-system evaluation.
- Test Scripting: Develop, edit, and maintain test scripts to streamline validation processes and ensure repeatable results.
- Lab equipment operation: Proficiently operate specialized diagnostic and measurement tools, including oscilloscopes, power supplies, data loggers, and environmental chambers.
- Compliance & Certification: Prepare for and execute EMC (Electromagnetic Compatibility) and electrical safety testing, including hands-on management of testing cycles at external certification laboratories.
- Documentation: Author detailed, technical test reports to document methodologies, findings, and performance metrics.
- Cross -functional collaboration: Work with Reliability/Embedded/Engineering and Production teams to ensure seamless product development and transition to manufacturing.
Requirements
- At least 3 years of hands-on experience in hardware/firmware testing or a similar technical role.
- Technical Scripting: background in test automation using Python (Linux environment), Bash, or NI TestStand.
- Experience operating lab equipment, including Oscilloscopes, Power Supplies, and Digital Multimeters (DMM).
- Ability to read and interpret complex electrical schematics and technical drawings.
- Fluent English (both written and verbal) for technical documentation and reporting.
- Highly organized with a methodical approach to task management and execution.
