- Implement and maintain revenue-recognition and contract-accounting policies, including contract and sales-order reviews, multi-component transactions, allocation of consideration, billing terms and deferred revenue.
- Partner with Sales on contract terms, billing arrangements and non-standard transactions to ensure appropriate accounting treatment and support effective deal execution.
- Work closely with Supply Chain throughout the inventory lifecycle, including inventory costing, reconciliations, reserves, movements and controls.
- Proactively identify the need for changes in accounting treatments, estimates, cost-allocation methodologies or capitalization policies as the business and operating model evolve.
- Support the development and implementation of new revenue streams and transaction structures by defining the required accounting, billing, tax, systems and control processes.
- Prepare transfer-pricing calculations and true-ups, and coordinate the related intercompany billing and supporting documentation.
- Own US sales-tax reporting, including reconciliations and coordination with external advisors.
- Lead the company’s collection process in collaboration with Sales, including AR aging reviews, customer follow-up, dispute escalation, credit-risk monitoring and bad-debt analysis.
- Maintain the integrity of revenue, COGS, inventory, margin and AR data used by FP&A, and communicate accounting developments that may affect budgets and forecasts.
- Provide management with relevant analysis of revenue, gross margin, inventory and accounts receivable
- Support ad hoc projects, reporting and analyses.
- Implement appropriate AI-enabled processes to improve efficiency, data quality documentation and controls
